Actualmente, a nivel mundial, se están creando métodos, estrategias y procedimientos para mejorar la seguridad de las operaciones aéreas. Conviene recordar que en el caso de Colombia, la Aerocivil y la Fuerza Aérea Colombiana han venido modernizando su tecnología con el objetivo de preservar y mantener el control de la aeronavegailidad en el país. A propósito, los sistemas de control de tráfico, que integran decisiones humanas individuales con datos provistos por sistemas de información, son un elemento determinante en las operaciones aéreas, ya que garantizan el flujo seguro y eficiente. Además, recientemente, la inteligencia artificial ha sido una herramienta clave en el desarrollo de tecnologías informáticas que mejoran la velocidad y eficiencia de la aeronavegabilidad. Dado lo anterior, en este boletín, preparado por el Centro de Información Tecnológica y Apoyo a la Gestión de la Propiedad Industrial (CIGEPI) de la Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio (SIC), analizamos las invenciones que haciendo uso de la inteligencia artificial optimizan el control del tráfico aéreo.

Nowadays, new methods, strategies and procedures to improve aerial security are being developed worldwide. In Colombia,the Aerocivil and the National Air Force are modernizing their technology, to be able to maintain control over the airworthiness and airspace in the country. The traffic control systems, which integrate individual human decisions with data from information systems, are crucial elements on aerial operations, because they guarantee a safe and efficient aerial flow. Besides, Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become a key tool for the development of computer technologies, that improve the speed and efficiency of the airworthiness.
