The National Institute of Intellectual Property from Brazil, with the support of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), held the “International Symposium of Intellectual Property Academies from Latin America and the Caribbean”, and simultaneously, the “IX Academic Meeting of Intellectual Property, Innovation and Development (ENAPID)”, which took place in Florianópolis city, Brazil, from November 23 to 25.
Two representatives of the SIC attended these events: Paola Andrea Mejía Hoyos, Coordinator of the Industrial Property Academy, and Marta Lucía Acevedo Arias, professional of the Office of Consumer Service and Business Support. Each one of them were appointed to make presentations on the performance and outcomes of the Industrial Property Academy of the SIC, and on the online courses and educational programs specialized in IP and innovation that are promoted by this Entity.
The objective of the events was to exchange experiences, enhance cooperation and share good practices in the management of offices dedicated to make examination, provide training and increase awareness on IP matters.
