Thanks to the investigation carried out by the Deputy Superintendence for Competition Protection, the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (SIC) issued fines for a value over COP$800 million pesos, against six natural persons who participated in two bidding processes in which collusive conducts were carried out.
The SIC sanctioned Efraín Cucunubá Bermúdez, Javier Arturo Ayola Guerrero, Virginia Isabel Bustamante Cifuentes, Sandro Fabián Duarte Palma, Feligno José Mejía Meléndez and Lorenzo Orozco Pabón, by demonstrating that, during 2014, they colluded in two bidding processes of the Fondo Financiero de Proyectos de Desarrollo (FONADE).
FONADE's tenders were related to construction projects in the Colombian towns of Pijao (Quindío) and Condoto (Chocó).
